Fashion Collections
My collections aim to reimagine materials by breaking them down into their basic components in order to reconstruct functional garments with new identities and meaningful stories.
This collection was inspired by the Movie Wicked or more specifically, the Ozdust ball scene. Glinda's beautiful pink and yellow dress as well as the magical yet rebellious aspect of the dance itself inspired me to design a collection focused on transforming unconventional materials into something people would never imagine. Therefore I believe, the magic lies within the transformation itself so in this collection I designed 4 gowns completely from tissue paper, tape, and wire.

Designed for Scarlette Magazine's Autumn 2024 sustainability issue, this collection is meant to depict the impact of microplastics, chemical dyes, or other industry leached pollution. Each piece in this collection reflects a different perspectives and urges viewers to consider their impact and illustrate the possibility of transforming some of this pollution into something beautiful yet functional. Furthermore, each garment in this collection is made completely from plastic grocery bags, packaging tape, wire, and fishnets.

Titled "Natural Beauty", this collection illustrates the beauty in even the blandest objects. Paper bags, beige and rectangular, are typically disregarded, used as a base to carry items of higher value such as groceries or drawings. But even so, paper posses unique characteristics, different from other mediums like fabric. Paper can be folded, intricately cut, and manipulated into structures that even the stiffest fabric can't hold. So as you watch the progression of this collection, my designs will define themselves, drawing attention to their unique attributes and emphasizing that a paper bag always possessed the qualities that made it more than a base. Qualities that make it naturally beautiful.

Growing up watching si-fi movies, they always depicted the future in the same sense: humanoid robots with silver plated body parts or vibrantly dressed in shiny technologically innovative clothing. My collection aimes to bring this future to life through the atypical transformation of tape into gowns. Titled "Year 3000", I focused on textures, colors, structures, and accessories that would fully immerse the audience into this altered reality.
